PoppaBear clocks is a hobby that I started doing after I retired in 2015. All my clocks are all handcrafted and I try to retain to the natural look of the timber as it was when harvested from the forests. On some occasions there will be natural flaws in the burls, such as small cracks and holes, but if I leave them intact it brings the true features of the timbers to the fore, as if you had just picked them from the forest yourselves. All timbers are unique to the Southwest Region of Western Australia, and are not found anywhere else on the planet.
The clock parts, have come from countries overseas as far away as England and right here in Australia. If you look through the clock face to the mirror at the rear you will see our PoppaBear emblem, and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity with your purchase.
PoppaBear clocks are freestanding, and would look very elegant on a mantle piece or in a wall cabinet. They make fantastic wedding presents, and also retirement gifts for that very special employee.
I always have burls that are waiting to be worked on, so if you visit my workshop and see a burl that attracts your attention, then I can turn it into your own PoppaBear clock. This would take approximately two weeks to achieve. The burls available are also shown below in the slideshow. Email me if you like a particular burl.
Poppa Bear clocks can be shipped anywhere, keeping in mind that they weigh aproximately 5kg. If you are in Albany, you are most welcome to drop by our workshop and have a look, but it would be wise to ring first.
